it has apparently been worked around in upstream rhythmbox now in https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=668262 I don't think that is a fix in the GTK ellipsize method, but it doesn't affect the new rhythmbox layout that we don't have yet. I guess we live with it until 12.10 or patch it now and it will look nice in 12.04.
