Public bug reported: After updating a precise amd64 server from libssl1.0.0 (1.0.0g-1ubuntu1) to libssl1.0.0 (1.0.1-2ubuntu2) by regular apt-get update/upgrade, outgoing https connections stopped working stable. This depends on the target to connect to and at least affects php5-curl, curl, openssl s_client and wget. q I'm able to reproduce this behavior by trying to connect to https://www.postbank.de/ and https://www.paypal.com/ I assume some negotiation problem. e.g. https://www.gmx.net/ works.
Attached is the output of # openssl s_client -debug -msg -state -status -connect www.paypal.com:443 1.0.0g-1ubuntu1 is working, 1.0.1-2ubuntu2 is NOT working. ** Affects: openssl (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/968085 Title: 1.0.1-2ubuntu2 client side connect problem To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openssl/+bug/968085/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
