I have the same problem: Ubuntu Oneiric Thunderbird hangs continuously (after a few secons, sometimes minutes) Using IMAP The problem started when I changed from POP ==> IMAP-servers (multiple accounts)
This is really a pain in the neck and I need to revert to an older version of Thunderbird, or to another mail-client. Any help is appreciated !
