Also with the latest upstream kernel (3.3.0) my HP Mini Note exhibits this bug, i.e. WiFi channel 13 doesn't work under Ubuntu 11.10, although on channel 11 it is fine (under Windows XP channel 13 does function, so it's not a hardware limitation).
