There is a fix for that bug that seems to work. It's in kernel 3.2.14 now. commit 982b8bf53d1b4a8ab091d9218ce71b817a19fbb4 Author: Dave Airlie <airl...@redhat.com> Date: Wed Mar 28 10:48:49 2012 +0100
drm/i915: suspend fbdev device around suspend/hibernate commit 3fa016a0b5c5237e9c387fc3249592b2cb5391c6 upstream. Looking at hibernate overwriting I though it looked like a cursor, so I tracked down this missing piece to stop the cursor blink timer. I've no idea if this is sufficient to fix the hibernate problems people are seeing, but please test it. Both radeon and nouveau have done this for a long time. I've run this personally all night hib/resume cycles with no fails. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/961932 Title: i915 memory corruption after suspend/hibernate To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/961932/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
