** Description changed: When installing Ubuntu 5.10 & 6.06 TLS Kubuntu on both a real Pc & a Vmware 5.5.2, my LAN crashed and I could no longer connect to the Internet. I am behind a Smc Barricade Adsl modem with built in DHCP server. Ubunutu & Kubuntu could not configure my NIC's (realtek & pcnet32 one). Only a after a restart of my modem I am able to surf again, but as soons as boot up the install or the real deal, my network connection is severed. + + On Kubuntu 6.06 I got stuck on "choosing mirror".
