Forgot to mention that you need to run a "sudo apt-get update" and a "sudo apt-get dist-upgrade" in order to downgrade Xorg to the version from Oneiric (11.10) Xorg is independent, so there is no conflict with any package from the rest of 12.04 release. Enjoy.
