Well if you search the kern.log for AGP you will see the first error
says

Aug 20 20:39:33 localhost kernel: [17179596.368000] Linux agpgart interface
v0.101 (c) Dave Jones
Aug 20 20:39:33 localhost kernel: [17179596.372000] agpgart: Unsupported Ati
chipset (device id: 7833)

This might be the root of the problem as the later error

Aug 21 22:04:49 localhost kernel: [17179606.540000] [fglrx] Maximum main
memory to use for locked dma buffers: 928 MBytes.
Aug 21 22:04:49 localhost kernel: [17179606.540000] [fglrx] module loaded -
fglrx 8.28.8 [Aug 17 2006] on minor 0

I don't think is the root of the problem. I have contacted ATI regarding
this but with no response. I think the problem might be in the agpgart
module written by Dave Jones, I don't know who that is and whether or not it
is open source or not.

Thanks,
Scott
