There is no fix. It is a workaround, and it's posted a few comments up. The default "Accelmethod" of EXA in the xorg.conf causes the trident driver to break, you must replace the "Accelmethod" with XAA. I also download the EXPERIMENTAL or UNSTABLE trident driver from the Debian repositories and then I unpack the deb, and copy the trident_drv.so over the default one, just for good measure. I'm including two files, one is my xorg.conf file, and the other is the experimental trident driver.
