Ok, thanks for this comment and the download link.
So, in other words, does this mean that just dowloading the current build of 
this library and  put it inside /usr/lib/nautilus/extensions-3.0 would still 
work with 12.04 ? No need to recompile the sources ?
Oddly enough, the libnautilus-gksu.so presently installed by Synaptic is dated 
feb 23rd 2011...meaning it has not changed since Ubuntu 10.10 (or am I wrong?).
