Joseph Salisbury,
The bug is about an error I received during the upgrade from 10.04.4 to 12.04.
As I said in the description, the error was likely false, since the upgrade
worked (and the kernel booted fine). I was testing the Upgrade process at the
time (it's a throwaway install). So I'm not sure what running those commands
will do to resolve the bug (the point is more that there was an error during an
upgrade).

So, I'll leave it as 'incomplete' but please explain further if I missed
something as to why I need to run those commands and only mark it
'confirmed' if they 'don't fix' something (that I don't think is really
broken.)
