Joseph Salisbury, The bug is about an error I received during the upgrade from 10.04.4 to 12.04. As I said in the description, the error was likely false, since the upgrade worked (and the kernel booted fine). I was testing the Upgrade process at the time (it's a throwaway install). So I'm not sure what running those commands will do to resolve the bug (the point is more that there was an error during an upgrade).
So, I'll leave it as 'incomplete' but please explain further if I missed something as to why I need to run those commands and only mark it 'confirmed' if they 'don't fix' something (that I don't think is really broken.) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/984599 Title: package linux-image-3.2.0-23-generic 3.2.0-23.36 failed to install/upgrade: ErrorMessage: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/grub2/+bug/984599/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
