On a dell insperon 17 the Fn+F2 should turn wifi on/off - it does not. Addtionally, dissabling bluetooth turns off Wifi and you cannot recover using the GUI. This recipy get's wiFi back on, although I just borrowed it from other users with the same issue and have not figured out what it does.
