Public bug reported:

I have a toshiba Satellite M40x laptop. I installed Ubuntu Fiesty and
cpu frequency scaling did not work.

I modprobed the p4_clockmod module and added it to /etc/modules and now
it works. So this is just a hardware detection issue.

What information or printouts do you need from me and my laptop so that
the relevant autodetecting software can be made suitable aware?

** Affects: Ubuntu
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
