Public bug reported: I have a toshiba Satellite M40x laptop. I installed Ubuntu Fiesty and cpu frequency scaling did not work.
I modprobed the p4_clockmod module and added it to /etc/modules and now it works. So this is just a hardware detection issue. What information or printouts do you need from me and my laptop so that the relevant autodetecting software can be made suitable aware? ** Affects: Ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- CPU Frequency scaling not working for Toshiba Satellite M40x https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/119914 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
