I have the same problem with PHP. Don't know if it's related, but whatever PHP script I open shows "Please wait..." on a grey background that won't go away. Hovering over the "Please wait"... shows the full path to the opened file in a tooltip. Opening js, css or textfiles within the same project works fine, just the PHP files are problematic.
Distribution: Ubuntu Precise Pangolin (AMD64) installed from final beta media, but updated today to the sharp version. Netbeans 7.01 also fully updated.
