There's another guy having exactly the same problem, and another guy
with similar problems when trying to install Xubuntu 12.04 with Live
USB.

I don't know if this is a general problem or if it just applies to some
computers, therefor I can't tell you how to verify. I downloaded the
.iso, made a Live USB using usb-creator, ran the install and when it
asked me to reboot I did and removed the USB stick. If you don't get
stuck and can boot normally I guess the bug is not general.
