The same problem came up again: I had to completely remove aspell from my system as a temporary workaround. I accidentally reinstalled aspell some days ago. Today I replied to a mail with a PHP print_r() output in it. Aspell started to eat up memory very quickly, more than 1.6Gbytes is eaten up before I was able to terminate the process. Some senconds later KMail restarted the process and thinks started to go seriously wrong. Finally I had to kill aspell, cancel my reply, drop the mail contents, stop KMail, completely uninstall aspell to prevent this serious bug.
