Public bug reported:

Only recently LyX started to act up and crashes every time I try to open
a file from the file browser or save a file. Each time I click on the
file browser that LyX calls up it immediately crashes without any error
message.

This is really frustrating since I use LyX to generate documents for
work and it worked perfectly fine until today -- at least I noticed it
today...

It worked perfectly and consistently throughout 12.04 development. Why
not now?
