The guys at irc.freenode.org #ubuntu think this might be a problem with processes not terminating properly.
If this is the case, it makes sense. The reboot signal is given, most processes are terminated, but for some reason something just refuses to terminate, leaving the system to hang, waiting for said process to die. I thought I would mention this, just a possibility. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/880116 Title: ubuntu 11.10 hangs on reboot To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/880116/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
