I have mouse M505 (almost same) but for this bug I think it is the
software related to the Unifying dongle which has problem.

This is a regression because I never had such trouble with previous
ubuntu release.

$ lsusb
Bus 002 Device 002: ID 046d:c52b Logitech, Inc. Unifying Receiver

$ xinput --list --short
⎡ Virtual core pointer id=2 [master pointer (3)]
⎜ ↳ Virtual core XTEST pointer id=4 [slave pointer (2)]
⎜   ↳ SynPS/2 Synaptics TouchPad                id=10   [slave  pointer  (2)]
⎜   ↳ TPPS/2 IBM TrackPoint                     id=11   [slave  pointer  (2)]
⎜ ↳ Logitech Unifying Device. Wireless PID:101d id=12 [slave pointer
 (2)]

I tried few things (compare lsmod result before/after unplug/plub the mouse) =>
same
for usbhid module in /etc/modules => no effect

do
$ sudo rmmod hid_logitech_dj
$ sudo modprobe hid_logitech_dj
is enough to restore the mouse (at each boot!!!)

In attachment see my kern.log.
I noticed that mouse is not detected during boot, but only when I
unload/re-load the module.
