I have just upgraded to 12.04 and I still have the same issue so I tried

apport-collect -p linux <replace-with-bug-number>

as described above. If I had known that it was going to put so much
sensitive system information in the public domain I would never have
done it... I'd much rather just provide only the info that is required
and on request. That way I can vet it first and obfuscate as required.
Too late now...
