Sorry, I completely forgot about this new "development". Ok, it was pretty
straightforward; I use Kubuntu, so I installed the firefox localization package
from adept (package mozilla-firefox-locale-sl-si and the german language pack);
installed OK, no problems reported. I opened Firefox (and after a long search -
firefox is really outright lame in this respect) opened about:config.
I changed the line "general.useragent.locale" to the appropriate language code
(de and sl-si in my case). But firefox would not change its language to any of
those two.
Then I installed an add-on for firefox (locale switcher 2.0) which is helping
to switch locales from a handy menu. Doesn't do anything either.

Oh, btw. add-ons under languages in firefox shows I've got all three
languages (German, Slovenian and English) installed and enabled.

Hope it helps.
