Public bug reported: Huawei Mobile Broadband Modem E173 (inside it says E173s-6) does was working fine on Oneiric (11.10) until I upgraded it to Pangolin (12.04).
Then it cannot be detected by the file manager anymore. All other USB devices (cameras, cell phones, etc.) work fine. What I noticed is that when connecting to the USB port, lsusb says initially: $lsub Bus 001 Device 018: ID 12d1:1c0b Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd.
