Hi, I am a Linux noob but managed to solve this problem on a Ubuntu 12.04 64bit I found out where the rvm post inst file is located at: /var/lib/dpkg/info/ruby-rvm.postinst Opened it and replaced the admin group requirement to sudo:
The file contents are attached.
