This behaviour persists in 12.04. In fact, if you add notepad (for example) to the launcher, then run it, it doesn't show the > arrow next to the icon, and doesn't appear in alt-tab list of programs. This means that once the window of a wine app is minimised, there is no way of restoring it, neither from launcher or alt-tab.
