I don't know why it would do that, gmusicbrowser mostly let gstreamer/mplayer handle the playing. Is it really random or maybe related to some other application playing a sound ? You could check if the gmusicbrowser volume changes in the pulseaudio dialog. You could also try a different output for gstreamer.
