Public bug reported: Binary package hint: linux-source-2.6.20
I did a fresh install of Feisty Fawn on a Fujitsu Siemens E8110 Laptop (Realtek ALC262 chip). Most of the hardware was recognized correctly and worked out of the box (including headphones). However, I couldn't make the internal speakers work. Feisty Fawn is up-to-date, the kernel version is 2.6.20-16-generic. I ended up updating to ALSA 1.0.14 and added the following line to /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base : sound chip options snd-hda-intel model=fujitsu (also tried probe_mask=1) - but still no sound. Please find the relevant logs attached. ** Affects: linux-source-2.6.20 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- ALC262 sound problem: internal speakers do not work https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/120247 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
