I was doing the upgrade from edgy to feisty. It was in the last stage of
the upgrade where it was cleaning up temporary files (I think). The
install did seem to work despite the crash - after a reboot I seem to be
on the latest version.

My current update-manager (post update):
update-manager:
  Installed: (none)
  Candidate: 1:0.59.20
  Version table:
     1:0.59.20 0
        500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com feisty/main Packages

Subject: [Bug 120221] Re: upgrade tool crashed

Thank you for your report.
Can you tell me which version of Ubuntu you are using?
Also, can you tell me the version of update-manager? This can be displayed with
"apt-cache policy update-manager".

Thanks
Danny
