This bug is a lot worse in Ubuntu 12.04 with Hugin. When you try to align images using the assistant there is not even any error message to give a hint of the problem. It just comes back with the message "Warning 2 unconnected image groups found:.....". The poor user has no idea that part of the program is missing.
