Public bug reported:

Sorry i just installed linux for the first time. I hope i explain it in
a way that you understand to be able to help.I have a broacom wireless
card and and an external one as well which is a netgear WG111v2.

The built in NIC card (broadcom) is not even showing if i run ifconfig
-a but it was showing and i was using it before i removed windows. The
netgear one when i use wicd to get an ip address it continues to try to
connect for an indefinite time and times out.

So i went through the menu and saw where i can update the driver and it
said broadcom drivers not activated so i clicked activate and it ran and
came up with an error package bcmwl-kernel-source 5.60.48.36+bdcom-
0ubuntu3 failed to install/upgrade: bcmwl kernel module failed to build

can you help me please ? I

thank you
