Public bug reported:

After logging into to my Ubuntu OS for awhile, a cool feature built into
the unity icons simply stops functioning. When you hover your mouse
pointer over the firefox icon, you normally get a cool pop up and if you
right click the icon you get several choices all included in another
cool pop up. This is the feature I am talking about. For example, right
clicking once on chromium icon produces and nice window with five
choices...but after being logged on to my OS for awhile this feature
stops working? It is very annoying and I actually removed firefox from
my unity launcher because it kept happening, but now I see it happening
in the chromium icon and even one of the libreoffice. FYI I am using a
typical Dell business desktop that was sold by the thousands to many
large corporations and it has never been altered in any way. I am using
a clean installation of ubuntu 12.04 and there is no other OS on this
computer. The computer is used by one person-me and is only used for
internet, email, youtube vids, word processing and basic tasks. My
hardware is typical: 3.4 intel cpu, 160 gb HD, intel graphics, 4 gigs
ram, 64 bit, hard wired cable internet, all ubuntu updates installed. I
am using NO proprietary drivers. My bios is up to date and my hardware
is 64 bit.

** Affects: ubuntu
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
