I put restricted option in security repository my source.list came from a kubuntu 6.06 upgrade to 7.10.
in the bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-restricted-modules-2.6.20/+bug/120288 one user installed fresh 7.10 and have the same problem.
