According to the changelog of version 5.0.0.99.1 (/usr/share/doc/cupsys-
driver-gutenprint/changelog.gz) the support for the named Canon printers
is under development, and there are known issues with these printers.
Please check with the mailing list (gimp-print-
[EMAIL PROTECTED]) if you have any questions.
This looks like an upstream gutenprint issue, it would be nice if
somebody could forward this issue upstream to the gimp-print-devel
mailinglist.
