Public bug reported:

I've installed Ubuntu Pangolin 12.04 on a Mac Mini and sometimes use a Sony
HMZ-T1 as the display device. On Ocelot everything worked fine, but since
Pangolin I get no X screen, not even the tty's on F1/F2. When the mac starts
up, I'm getting 720p image output from the bootloader and grub. Then when X is
started, the screen goes black and the video glasses report "No signal".
Both kernels work on my TV for this HDMI port, so it's just the goggles.

I switched to a previous kernel (3.0) on Pangolin and there I do get a
display! I've captured the Xorg.0.log from both sessions. The 3.2
kernel boot where the display doesn't work doesn't report an error. I've
diff'd both Xorg.logs and the only differences look like the kernel
versions and some other input device processing:

Server terminated with error (2). Closing log file.

Above final error happens on both 3.0 and 3.2, but 3.0 does produce an
image.

I've tried to find answers on Google, but there isn't enough info in the
logs for me to resolve this myself. If any other info is needed or if
you know a workaround, please let me know and I'll give it a try.
