Windows Vista has the same problem.

I believe the bug is owned by Verbatim.  Regardless,
the statement of "safety" is false.

I'll answer future questions but have little interest
in pursuing the problem.  I simply wanted to report
that the statement of "safety" is false in at least
one case.  It may be an exceptional condition, but
it's still a condition.
