I don't like the "mockup" of comment #2. Unity should keep showing window previews, but in a different way. Windows 7 behaviour is a lot better here. The mockup in https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity/+bug/740862/comments/3 is a lot better.
