It all depends on the make of your keyboard. My desktop keyboard cannot use that combination while my laptop happily obliges. They're all different from one another. It's an issue from long ago that I wish keyboard manufacturers would have grown out of but it doesn't seem to be much of a priority. There's a pretty good explanation on the issue here:
