Public bug reported: 12.04 i386 on Samsung NC10. All current updates installed, ecryptfs in use.
After a suspend, the backlight brightness keys and the System Settings --> Brightness and Lock control work in reverse. On reboot they return to normal but reverse again after another suspend. This has happened after a software update. When I first installed 12.04 the backlight went from full to minimum brightness (or vice versa) with a single stab of the keys. I cured this by adding "acpi_backlight=vendor" to /usr/share/grub/default/grub and then update-grub. There has since been no problems until now. acpid 1:2.0.10-1ubuntu3 hope this is the right info, if not tell me what is required I'm not a coder. ** Affects: acpi (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1002031 Title: 12.04 brightness controls reversed after suspend To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/acpi/+bug/1002031/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
