Public bug reported:

The Wireshark icon won't stay in the Ubuntu 12.04 application sidebar.
When you launch it, you see the icon momentarily in the sidebar, but it
goes away after a fraction of a second. At this state if you minimize
the application, there is no obvious way to restore it. It has to be
killed manually from the terminal and restarted.

This is on an up to date Ubuntu 12.04 system.

Wireshark Package Version: 1.6.7-1 amd64

** Affects: wireshark (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
