Honestly myself don't really care one way or the other anymore. It's easy to disable global menus on a per app basis where appropriate/desired. Also there are changes planned that could satisfy those that wanted this or any of the other scenarios mentioned elsewhere , so this bug could just as well be invalidated & forgotten
