Problem in Precise too, on my Dell Vostro 3750 (NVidia, Core i5 2410M), not on my Dell Vostro 3550 (ATI).
Strangely enough, both the 32 bits and 64 bits versions install and work beautifully on the very same Vostro V3750 under Oracle VM Virtualbox, installed under Windows 7 64 bits professional edition. I updated my BIOS to A12, just in case.
