I upgrade to xubuntu 12.04. So far it is working okay but I didn't test it enough yet.
The first time I booted xubuntu 12.04, it started with "INPUT NOT SUPPORTED" but only briefly and then it booted into the correct resolution for my monitor. I don't yet know if it will boot into the correct resolution every time. Previously it was 50-50 between correct rez and low rez. I changed the GRUB_TERMINAL line in /etc/default.grub: # Uncomment to disable graphical terminal (grub-pc only) #GRUB_TERMINAL=console I uncommented it: # Uncomment to disable graphical terminal (grub-pc only) GRUB_TERMINAL=console The 2nd time I booted xubuntu 12.04 was after I made the above change. This time there was no "INPUT NOT SUPPORTED" and I saw the boot options. Suggestion: Seems to me there is no reason for GRUB_TERMINAL to be graphical; text works just fine. The problem with graphical mode is my monitor is not figured out at this time and I don't see the boot options. So I think that line should be uncommented so at least I see the boot options. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/883773 Title: xubuntu 11.10 "input not supported" on Acer X193W LCD monitor To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/883773/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
