Hello Adam Please reproduce agai the bug, reboot as explained before, then run in a terminal: apport-collect -p linux 1002284 --- Ubuntu Bug Squad volunteer triager http://wiki.ubuntu.com/BugSquad
** Summary changed: - Screen goes blank randomly while ubuntu is running + [drm:i915_hangcheck_elapsed] *ERROR* Hangcheck timer elapsed... GPU hung ** Description changed: Sometimes (usually once or twice a day) the screen goes completely off and can't be turned back on. The rest of the system seems to be running normally (not 100% sure about this, since I can't see anything). Only way to restore it is hard reboot. Not sure what triggers this, it seems quite random to me. Most of the time when this happens (not always though), is when some app that uses opengl is running. I'm using ubuntu 12.04 with unity-2d. My graphics card is: "Intel Corporation Mobile GM965/GL960 Integrated Graphics Controller". + + + bug 507504 ** Package changed: ubuntu => linux (Ubuntu) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1002284 Title: [drm:i915_hangcheck_elapsed] *ERROR* Hangcheck timer elapsed...
