The scope of this bug started with azureus crashing with sun jre (on xorg). This bug hasn't seen much in the way of developer attention so it can *not* suffer from scope creep.
Bug #78294 already covers the crash with vnc4server. Azureus should not crash when communicating with alternate X servers, but that does not mean it should be covered with this bug report.
