That's exactly what I found BearT. It seems that the symptoms are the same but the error message is either different or has been removed in later kernel versions.
I also tried kernel 3.2.14 and had the same problem again, it wouldn't fully wake from suspend. The only error message I found was 'Composite sync not supported' like you I found no 'invalid framebuffer id' errors anywhere, yet the problem is identical. I also have the same problem when I switch from using monitors to using the laptop screen, sometimes it works, other times it seems to get lost between the two and I have no screen on either and have to restart. It really is driving me up the wall; since updating to 12.04 I have a very unreliable machine that randomly needs restarting and coupled with the regular compiz/unity crashes is making me despair of Ubuntu. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/993941 Title: [drm:drm_mode_getfb] *ERROR* invalid framebuffer id - fail resume from hybernate To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/993941/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
