I have the same problem with the gnome fallback session. It is *really* annoying that alt-f7 is reset to initiate move window. When trying to change it via ccsm it is directly reset in the session. When changed by gconf-editor, /apps/compiz-1/plugins/move/screen0/options/initiate_key it works at least for the current session and is reset after re-login. (But the value in the key /apps/compiz-1/plugins/move/screen0/options/initiate_key still keeps beeing empty, I have to open gconf-editor and touch the value again to gain an effect)
