I'm seeing the same problem on the Acer Aspire One, Model ZG5, which has an Intel Atom CPU and Intel Graphics card.
On resume, the screen stays black rather than showing the screensaver. I am able to Ctrl+Alt+F1, login in and forcefully kill X, and then log in again. I don't appear to be able to do a simple pkill X, it needs the -9 option. This seems to suggest that it's the X server, and possibly the drivers where the problem is. Would love to get this fixed, since I never had this problem in 11.04 and only have seen it since upgrading to 12.04, I have all the latest updates, but to no avail. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/999638 Title: Ubuntu 12.04 - won't resume from suspend.
