and it did not solve the issue. I have also run the follwoing verison from LTS Ubuntu CD, and the soudns was with both working: - Ubuntu LTS 12.04 from the CD (try Option), Sound was working! - Ubuntu 8.04.1 LTS from the CD (try Option), Sound was Working! So I guess something went wrong with a Ubuntu package Update right after installing the Ubuntu 12.04 (I have checked the option by installation in order to get the last package version online).
