To be fair, based o the length of this conversation, this issue has been
going far too long.

Previous comments : easiest way to fix a bug: remove the package "from
both Debian and Ubuntu and is no longer available in the archive"!

Personally, this is still available and isn't fixed (I tried install and
it failed. Below is the second attempt) ...
