Had to change all my scripts to "sudo poweroff". This is kinda embarrassing. What's the use of a halt-command that doesn't actually turn off the machine? Who needs a computer that's ready for poweroff but still running? I believe that the halt-command made more sence before than it does now. I recommend changing it back.
