@Joseph The 12.04 live image never booted. However, it got further than the 12.10 live image. The 12.04/Precise live image froze when looking for wireless firmware.
I have 12.04 Precise installed on this system (from alternate image) and it boots fine after fixing the wireless firmware issue.
